Leadership & Governance
FoSTA Myanmar is a registered, non-profit professional association governed through a collaborative leadership structure designed to promote transparency, accountability, professional integrity, and member participation.
During its current interim period, the Association is led by an Interim President, supported by the General Secretary, Finance Officer, Media & Communications Officer, Executive Committee (EC) Members, and the wider FoSTA membership. Each role contributes to the effective administration, financial oversight, communication, program development, and strategic direction of the organization.
The Executive Committee provides collective guidance on organizational priorities, partnerships, professional activities, and future development, while members contribute their expertise and experience across food science, food technology, food safety, research, education, industry, and related fields.
FoSTA Myanmar operates on a non-profit basis, with its activities directed toward advancing food science and technology, strengthening professional capacity, promoting food safety and responsible practices, and creating meaningful connections among academia, industry, government institutions, development organizations, and communities.
As the organization develops, FoSTA Myanmar is committed to strengthening its governance systems, institutional policies, financial accountability, membership participation, and transparent decision-making in line with recognized professional and non-profit practices.

Daw Seint Yi Htet
Interim President

Daw Seint Yi Htet is a food safety and public health professional with extensive experience in food policy and regulatory frameworks.
Daw Myint Myint
Secretary

Daw Myint Myint is an experienced management professional with a career spanning both the government and private sectors. She began her professional career in government service in 1979 and served as Head of the Quality Control (Q/C) Department from 1979 to 1997.
Since 1997, she has worked in the private sector as Director of Management at UAC Engineering Company Limited, bringing extensive experience in organizational management and administration.
Daw Myint Myint joined FoSTA Myanmar in 2014, initially serving as an Associate Member and subsequently contributing as a member of the Central Executive Committee (CEC). Since 2020, she has served as Secretary of FoSTA Myanmar, supporting the Association’s administration, coordination, and continued development.
